This Privacy Policy describes how 116 Ideas, Inc. ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use Recruidea, including recruidea.com, recruidea.app, and all associated subdomains, desktop applications, and services (collectively, the "Service").
1. Information We Collect
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and any profile information you choose to provide.
Gmail data (optional). If you connect your Gmail account, we request read-only access (gmail.readonly scope) to help you import job-related emails — such as application confirmations, recruiter messages, and interview invitations — into your Recruidea job search dashboard. We do not send emails, modify your inbox, or access emails unrelated to your job search.
Resume and job application data. We store resumes, cover letters, job listings, and application history that you upload or create within the Service.
Usage data. We collect standard server logs and usage analytics (page views, feature usage, error reports) to improve the Service.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and operate the Recruidea job search platform
- To import and organize your job-related emails when you connect Gmail
- To generate and tailor resume content and application materials using AI
- To enable sponsors (mentors, friends, professional career partners) to assist you, subject to the permission tiers you set
- To communicate with you about your account and the Service
- To improve and develop new features
3. Gmail Data — Specific Restrictions
Our use of data obtained through Gmail APIs is limited to the purposes described in this policy and complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
- We access Gmail only with your explicit authorization.
- We use Gmail data solely to help you track and manage your job search.
- We do not use Gmail data to serve advertisements.
- We do not sell, transfer, or share Gmail data with third parties, except as necessary to operate the Service (e.g., our cloud infrastructure provider).
- We do not allow humans to read your Gmail data unless you explicitly request support and grant access.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in the following circumstances:
- Sponsors you invite: Information you choose to share with sponsors is governed by the permission tiers you set. You control what each sponsor can see.
- Service providers: We use trusted third-party providers (such as Supabase for database hosting and Google Cloud for infrastructure) that process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality agreements.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
5. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may delete your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at [email protected]. Gmail tokens are revocable at any time from your Google Account permissions page.
6. Security
We use industry-standard security practices including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, row-level security on our database, and access controls to protect your data. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting a notice in the Service or by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
