By accessing or using Recruidea ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

2. Service Description
Recruidea is a recruitment and job search platform that serves both job seekers (candidates) and those who support them (sponsors). The Service includes:
- Recruidea Apply (recruidea.app) — tools for candidates to manage their job search, including resume parsing, ATS scoring, and application tracking
- Sponsor Portal — tools for mentors, family, friends, and professional career partners to actively assist candidates in their job search
- Desktop Application — a cross-platform desktop app with local AI-powered resume processing
- Browser Extension — a Chrome extension for capturing job listings and auto-filling applications
The Service is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time without prior notice.
3. User Accounts
You may need to create an account to access certain features of the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate and complete.
4. Sponsor Relationships
The Service enables sponsor relationships where third parties (mentors, family members, friends, or professional career partners) can assist candidates with their job search. Key terms:
- Permission tiers: Candidates control what information sponsors can access through configurable permission tiers (Scout, Coach, Operator).
- Candidate approval: Sponsors cannot submit applications or take actions on behalf of candidates without the candidate's explicit approval.
- Revocability: Candidates can pause or revoke sponsor access at any time with one click.
5. AI-Specific Disclaimers and Limitations
5.1 No Accuracy Guarantees
The Service uses AI and large language models to parse resumes, generate content, score documents, and provide recommendations. AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies, errors, or misleading information. We make no representations or warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any AI-generated content.
5.2 Independent Verification Required
You are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy of any AI-generated content before relying on it, especially for employment decisions, resume submissions, or any other professional purposes.
5.3 No Professional Advice
The Service does not provide professional career, legal, financial, or tax advice. AI-generated recommendations should not be used as a substitute for professional consultation.
5.4 Limitation of Liability for AI Content
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any damages arising from your use of or reliance on AI-generated content.
6. Gmail Data Access
If you connect your Gmail account to import resume attachments, the following terms apply in addition to our Privacy Policy:
- We request read-only access (
gmail.readonlyscope) solely to scan for and import resume attachments. - We do not send emails, modify your inbox, or access emails unrelated to resume import.
- Our use of Gmail data complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
- You may revoke Gmail access at any time from your Google Account permissions page.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in any way that violates these Terms. Prohibited activities include:
- Violating any applicable laws or regulations
- Infringing on intellectual property rights of others
- Transmitting harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content
- Attempting to gain unauthorized access to the Service or related systems
- Interfering with or disrupting the Service or servers
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling any part of the Service
- Using automated systems or bots to access the Service without authorization
- Misrepresenting your identity or impersonating another person

8. Intellectual Property Rights

The Service, including all software, algorithms, designs, text, graphics, logos, and other content (excluding user-provided content), is owned by 116 Ideas, Inc. and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
8.2 User Content
You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Service (resumes, cover letters, profile information). By submitting content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, process, and analyze your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
8.3 AI-Generated Content
AI-generated content created by the Service (parsed resume data, ATS scores, generated materials) is provided for your personal and professional use. You acknowledge that similar content may be generated for other users based on similar inputs.
9. Privacy and Data Protection
Your use of the Service is subject to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
10. Disclaimers and Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR COURSE OF PERFORMANCE.
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:
- The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
- The results obtained from the Service will be accurate or reliable
- ATS scores, resume analysis, or job matching will guarantee employment outcomes
- Any errors in the Service will be corrected
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL 116 IDEAS, INC., ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:
- Your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service
- Any conduct or content of any third party on the Service
- Any content obtained from the Service
- Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content
- Reliance on AI-generated content, ATS scores, or recommendations
IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID US IN THE LAST SIX (6) MONTHS, OR ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless 116 Ideas, Inc. from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party right; or (d) any claim that your content caused damage to a third party.
13. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law
13.1 Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
13.2 Dispute Resolution
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the Commercial Arbitration Rules of the American Arbitration Association. The arbitration shall be conducted in California.
13.3 Class Action Waiver
You agree that any arbitration or proceeding shall be limited to the dispute between you and us individually. No arbitration or proceeding shall be joined with any other, and there is no right for any dispute to be arbitrated on a class-action basis.
